Bill has over 35 years of experience principally in the areas of surety and construction law including responsibility for the investigation and handling of all aspects of contract bond defaults, commercial surety, litigation and pursuit of indemnity and recovery. He also has a wide range of experience with other civil litigation and commercial transactions including contracts, indemnity, mechanic liens, commercial transactions and appeals.

Bill was recognized in 2006, 2016 and 2018 as a top attorney in the field of Surety Law in Illinois Super Lawyers magazine, distributed by Chicago Magazine.

Bill authored Chapter entitled, “Surety’s Investigation”, for the 3rd edition of The Bond Default Manual, published by the American Bar Association’s Surety and Fidelity Law Committee of the Tort and Insurance Practice Section, 2005.

He was a contributing author to The Surety’s Indemnity Agreement – Law & Practice, Marilyn Klinger, Gary Judd and George Bachrach, editors, 2002, published by the American Bar Association, Surety & Fidelity Law Committee of the Tort & Insurance Practice Section, and presented to the FSLC Mid-year meeting, January 2002, in New York City.

He has been presenter to a number of bar related programs on surety law.
